M'ASCULINE, adjective (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary) 1. Having the qualities of a man; strong; robust; as a masculine body. 2. Resembling man; coarse; opposed to delicate or soft; as masculine features. 3. Bold; brave; as a masculine spirit or courage.
It seems the world has lost its grasp on what it means to be a masculine man. We do not believe God was confused nor has He changed His mind about what a man is called to be. At NC Church, we promote authentic godly masculinity. We challenge men to do what God requires - "love mercy, do justice, and walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8). We recognize that men are called to be strong, robust, courageous leaders in their homes, their churches and their communities. Such leadership often requires a man to swim upstream, to go against the grain of culture, to stand out and become a target. We accept the challenge! We will be watchmen on the wall. We will not shrink from our duty.
Habakkuk 2:1 (ESV) "I will take my stand at my watchpost and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint."
